To ensure a safe and enhanced learning environment, the Calexico Unified School District maintains its buildings and grounds to the highest standards. This includes the interior of all district buildings and the campus grounds (parking lots, sidewalks, athletic fields, etc.). The school grounds consist of over 100 acres, ten schools totaling 1, 026,050 square feet. The Facilities, Maintenance and Operations department consists of approximately over 50 employees from various professional trades to meet the demands of the district.

The maintenance department services all district equipment and systems from electrical to plumbing as well as refrigeration equipment. We also provide upkeep and service our very own state of the art swimming pool. The department also performs countless preventative maintenance services for a variety of systems including water systems, grease traps, and the HVAC equipment.

The grounds maintenance department is responsible for mowing, lining, fertilizing, watering, and mulching the 300-acres of campus including the athletic fields. The custodial maintenance department is charged with maintaining a clean, safe, healthy school environment.
The buildings and fields are available for use by the outside public under district-set policies and procedures. Inquiries or requests to use district facilities, buildings or grounds must be made through the Calexico Unified School District.
