The Calexico Arts Commission is holding another reception for artists (painters, photographers, actors, singers, musicians, dancers, sculpters, poets, authors, crafters, etc.) on April 23, 2009 from 6 – 8 PM at the Calexico Cultural Arts Center. Please see this PDF for more information.
The Board of Trustees of the Calexico Unified School District is in the process of recruiting for a superintendent. We are inviting all community members (e.g. parents, students, staff) to participate in an anonymous survey to provide input on what the superintendent must possess. We appreciate your time and effort in completing this survey.

The Calexico Arts Commission is sponsoring the 2009 Youth Art Exhibit. The event will be on Friday, March 27, 2009 from 5:30 – 8:30 p.m. at the Calexico Cultural Arts Center, 421 Heffernan Ave. Participants must be between 5 – 18 years old. Please see this PDF file for more information.

The third annual Springtime Concert on the Green will be held at San Diego State, Calexico Campus, on April 3 from 6:30 – 9:30 p.m. This is a family friendly event to benefit autism awareness and socialization programs for children thoughout the Imperial Valley. The Carnegie Technology Center is located at 420 Heber Ave. It’s open on Monday’s from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The following services are available:
- Computers with Internet access are available for public use
- WiFi is available to anyone wishing to bring in their own laptop
- Online resources such as the Encyclopedia Britannica, World Book Encyclopedia, Live Online Tutoring Help and magazine articles
- Printing costs 15 cents per page
Access is free, however, users must apply for an Internet card. Internet cards for Camarena Memorial Library may be used at the Carnegie Center. Minors need parental consent.
