The Calexico Unified School District is applying for a 21st Century Community Learning Partners Program which is sponsored by the U.S. California Department of Education. If funded, this grant will bring many resources and opportunities for our students to participate in before school, after school, weekend and summer athletic, recreational and educational activities. It will also allow for a Parent Literacy component to assist us in empowering parents as partners in the education of their children. This grant will be submitted to the State of California Department of Education on January 30, 2009.
