The U.S. Census begins in March, 2010. The census take place every 10 years. A questionnaire will arrive in the mail this month asking questions about how many people reside in your home, their dates of birth, race and sex. The census is important because it helps decide how much federal money our state will get for our schools, parks, neighborhood improvements and more. It takes only a few minutes to complete the census. Here is a letter in English and Spanish to all parents from Dr. Luna in support of the U.S Census.
Calexico High School students were featured in the Imperial Valley Press for ranking top in the nation on the advanced placement Spanish test. The Los Angeles Times and the College Board Connection highlighted Calexico High School’s exemplary AP Spanish class in recent articles.
